Space Structure Mechanical Architect H/F

Our client, a renowned manufacturer of industrial equipment based in the canton of Vaud, is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting a Space Structure Mechanical Architect H/F for their Space department. 

Your responsibilities: 

• Lead the conception and design of equipment destined for space, ensuring adherence to rigorous technical specifications and standards required for space applications
• Design the structural components of space-bound equipment, focusing on both functionality and durability to withstand the extreme conditions of space
• Prepare and manage detailed technical documentation, ensuring all design processes, specifications, and requirements are thoroughly documented and traceable throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including stress/thermal engineers, designers, and the program manager, to ensure an integrated approach to product development that meets all technical, functional, and environmental requirements

Your background:

• Holder of a master’s degree or diploma in mechanical/aero-space/structural engineering 
• Beneficiary of at least 5 years of experience in space engineering with a solid experience in design & conception of spacecrafts and/or instrument structures using CATIA V5 (Solidworks is also compatible)
• You are comfortable in technical roles with strong communication, you are used to working with multidisciplinary teams
• Languages: French (fluent), English (B2 minimum)
