Data Support Specialist H/F

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established international company in Geneva. They are looking for a Data Platform Support Engineer to join their Data Platform & Applications team and ensure the reliability of mission-critical systems in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for data platform applications: incident triage, troubleshooting, resolution
• Monitor application health, data flows and performance using dedicated dashboards and tools
• Handle user queries, service requests, and escalations with clear documentation
• Perform operational tasks: user access management, batch job monitoring, data integrity checks
• Contribute to root cause analysis, problem management and continuous improvement
• Support incident and change management processes following best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support when required

Required experience

• 3+ years in application support, ideally in trading, financial services or data-intensive environments
• Strong command of SQL for data investigation and troubleshooting
• Experience with data platform components: data warehouses, ETL pipelines, reporting tools, real-time feeds
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana or AppDynamics
• Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems proficiency
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure within a global distributed team
